Welcome to the Forums :) Your thread will probably work better in General Hardware than in Computer Help, so it has been transplanted

I rate it a 1.75 out of 10.
Why you ask?
Because you force us to link around the internet in order to simply see a list of parts.
Do you know how to "Copy & Paste" the list into your thread post? It's really not that hard.

Well um 0/10 at the moment, because theres no graphics card or a processor in the list you need those things theyre pretty important.

Wow Blain, way to welcome in a new member. Looks ok so far, maybe there are better Power supplies based on what your needs are. And the suggestions that others have made. Welcome to AT!

Then you should know a working PC needs a MB. CPU and somekind of video.

Case - Looks like something Toys-R-Us would stock
PS - Nothing OCZ at all
Memory - G.Skill is a winner
HD - I like WD drives, but don't go for an older generation "RE". SE16 is a better pick for non-RAID
DVD Burner - Too much $$ and better drives out there.
OS - XP Home? Couldn't you find a 98SE somewhere?
HS compound - AS5 is "ok", but why buy silver when there's diamond on the market?
HS - What are you mounting this contraption on? At least it's cheap!
Cable Binding - Back to Toys-R-Us with this pick.

kittykat, I think Blain was being sarcastic with the win98 comment. Your list is still missing a motherboard and a gpu, and you don't need a 600watt powersupply for that setup (unless you plan on getting 8800gtx ultras in sli). Their are plenty of threads here on $500 or $1000 systems, and there are buyers guides as well, take a look at hte most recent buyers guide as a starting place, or look at some other build threads.

To start here is a list of components that a build needs

1. psu
2. case
3. motherboard
4. gpu (unless its integrated with the motherboard)
5. cpu
6. ram
7. hard drive
8. optical drive

+
Os/keyboard/mouse...

Building a PC is far more than just buying a pile of parts.
I'd suggest that you have a friend build you one or simply buy a Dell or HP box.
Even with Dell or HP, you can do a little upgrading here and there.
