I just enter Video Card market recently. Now I have used a old FX5200 for one year.

$200 is too much for a student like me, especially I just bought most of the parts for a rig. Maybe I need to wait for several month?

But the card is so tempting.....:(

If possible, can you also predict 6600GT AGP.

Gathering some information for making a decision

Really so fast? If it will drop to $150, I will wait for another half year, since recently too tight budget.

Also, it is said AGP card will not drop too much due to PCIe

Depends on what's out there at the time. If ATI and nVidia have rolled out significantly faster cards in volume by mid-2005, I'd guess these figures:

6600GT $120
6800 - $150
6800GT - $200-$250
6800Ultra - $250 - $300

If new cards don't come out by mid 2005, or if they come out and they're no big deal, I'd mark these figures up 10% - 20%. Note: I am a professional fortune teller, please don't try this at home.

You will see some lowering prices but it wouldn't be that much.

The current 6800nu is around $300, it's because of the Black Friday sale that they are around $200
So their price will go back up when the sale is over.

Mild 2005 is only about half year aways so the price drop will be pretty small.

AGP 6600GT - $170
AGP 6800 - $200-$230
AGP 6800GT - $300
AGP 6800ULTtra - $400
