please need help

I currently have Win XP 32 running. I have the Vista home premium 32 bit upgrade disc I wish it was a full version not just the upgrade version. I have read here and there that there is a way to put a clean vista install somehow using the software that I have. It was something about tricking your computer into putting a clean install instead of doing the upgrade. Has anybody found a sure fire way to do what I am asking?? So far everywhere I look I see "Do a clean install of vista", But I don't have the software. Can someone please help me. If i could dual boot that would be even better. Any suggestions anybody Thanx

When you use a WinXP license as the basis for a Vista Upgrade, you can't use the WinXP anymore, is how that works. Like trading in your old car for a discount towards a new car. You = got a discount. Old car = not your car anymore. 😉 However, if you actually need to run WinXP as well as Vista, WinXP licenses are still available.
