Hello all,

Today I received a new 660W PSU (enermax) that I bought on eBay. The thing is huge and the build quality is obviously very high. However it has only got 24, 8 and 6 pin molex connectors to go into the motherboard, no traditional 4 pin connector. Looking at the 8 pin connector it looks like it's just two 4pin connectors joined together. Can i just plug half of the 8 pin connector into the 4 pin slot on my motherboard, or will this blow up my motherboard? I think I've seen 8-->4 pin converters for sale but my new video card is in tomorrow so I want to fire my rig back up. Obviously not if it's going to mean the death of my motherboard, though

Thanks for the advice

Sweet. Does it matter which side gets plugged into the 4pin?

Also there is a 6pin connector which matches the pinout for my old 7900GTX. If my new card (8800GTS) has the same power input can I just plug the 6 pin directly into the video card?
