questions:
if i am going to mildly overclock is it a better deal to buy the 3000+ venice for about 50 bux less? my goal is to reach around ~2.5 ghz. do i need a custom heatsink/fan? if so that will be about another 40 bux from jabtech.com - xp-90 and panaflo 92mm. money is an issue so if you got better deals out there i'd love to know about them! thanks in advance!

Since money is an issue you could get cheaper RAM. There is PQI RAM on newegg that is $33 for 512MB. So you save $40 and one person said he got that RAM to 243mhz 2-3-2-5 with 2.55v.

If you still need to save some money you could get a 3000+, but the 10x multi could come in handy when overclocking. Since you are on such a tight budget though it may be a good idea.

I would buy an XP-90 w/ Panaflo later if you think the stock cooling is holding you back. You may be able to reach 2.5GHz with stock cooling, but I am not sure.
