Offer higher wages, a stable schedule, and health benefits or STFU.

$5.25 I started when I was 13. min age for a family business. Father did not force me.

I see young people looking for jobs once in a while around here, but I do not believe its the norm. In our Rotary club it used to be competitive to get into our leadership programs, but now we have to beg for people to apply, and its all on scholarship, and they then get into our big college scholarship pool.

15 to 18 starting and benefits is not bad for a young person with little to no experience and a very flexible schedule.

also, the whole you cant pump your own gas thing is stupid.

They do my friend. Stock options, a 401k, health benefits if you maintian a 30 hour work week, and you can choose when to work.

And, $15- 18 an hour is decent IMO.
LOL! Stock options and 401k for workers earning below a living wage is marketing bullshit, not a real benefit. Health benefits if managers allow you to reach the magic 30hrs, oh my. Want to bet on the direction managers are given on that topic?

way to attack someone who has a small business and probably ends up making less than some of their employees and the end of the year. programs to help young people save money? worthless!!!! wtf.
