Not enough for a P4 Extremely Expensive. I get better scores with my non overclocked FX-53.

I don't care if you don't believe. Non overclocked P4 EE are having a hard time against the 3400+ Socket 754 processor. So overclocking it just 400Mhz won't do much for it against the FX 53. You don't have to believe me, just look at the anandtech benchmarks where the P4 Extreme Expensive hardly beats the A64 3400+, and the difference is US$700. Ouch!

Anyway FX-53 overclocks very well, so if I add only 150Mhz to it, you can be sure it will be faster than the Exteme Expensive processor at 4Ghz, and will be cooler!

Wow, not cool some of you...

The guy wanted to post his scores with his "new ride" and show how much he could get out of it which I am sure he is very proud of. He wasn't posting this thread so people could tell him how dumb he was for spending the money on the chip or how their AMDs run faster and cooler.

Props to Felix for those great scores. If I could do the same I would be damn proud also.

You don't say? I think any processor over $150 is overpriced so it's hard for me to be enthusiastic in 90% of these threads.

Felix has a good sense of humor though, obviously, so he should'nt mind our crapping.

Amen...$110 got me an AXP-M 2600+ that runs at 2.7GHz (210x13)...which scored 11400 in that Sandra CPU Arithmetic Drystone test where his overclocked P4EE @ 3.9GHz scored 11700...
Granted that is only one test...

lol.

Well some people might say paying $300,000 for Rolls Royce is a not a good value either since "its just a car" ;)

But no other Intel chip offered a 2mb L3 cache for the desktop compatible with my board, so the purchase made sense.

When Im looking to build pedestrian systems for others, I go AMD. They can ride the bus.

Zebo - hope that was funny. ;)

Nice job Felix

After reading the replies in this thread it's no wonder most of the really good overclockers have migrated to other forums :disgust: This section is getting almost as bad as the video section

If you got the ching to play, then play I say:) Nice ride.

Does that 2meg of L3 feel any different in the real world? Have you noticed any snappier feel that benchmarks really don't show?

Nice benches felix, some believe their Thunderbird 1400mhz is faster than a 3.9EE. So dont listen to the tools, they need a "filter out the crap" button here at AT that automatically hides posts from users that traditionally post garbage.
