buy all their stuff. piracy is awesome. it pretty much means that big movies get backed and pushed hard onto you drooling masses. makes it that much easier to be faux-elitist.

if it really bothers you, tell the person you know. give them some time, see if they change their ways. if they don't then go ahead and notify ebay

find out who it is, and kill them.

Which do you prefer, short quick execution with no talk, or long drawn out drama with an ironic end?

He obviously hasn't found the nifty little script that allows you to <To pierce or wound with or as if with a pointed weapon> people in the face over the internet

If the materials were properly identified as copies and NFR, I'd ignore their auctions. It's between them, the buyer, and eBay.

I get much more annoyed by the deceptive fraud ("$45 brand new Playstation 2, to be delivered in 90 days", "Get an ipod for $35") even though I'd never fall for it myself. That, and the companies posting auctions as advertising with the initial price set higher than the item is worth.

All you people who say not to do anything... what would you do if you saw some guy clock some woman in the face, steal her purse, and run off --only he's running in your direction... right for you. Do you let him pass saying that it's not your job to help? Asses. Ooh! "It's not my job. It's between the thief, the victim, and the police."

If it were you, no problem. :p

Moron. Getting "involved" can get you killed.

A citizen's DUTY in that (extreme) case - UNLIKE this "probable piracy" one - is to call the police and try to remember dsetails of the crime and serve as a witness. ;)

EDIT: And in your terrible extreme example, perhaps the man was retreiving HIS purse from the woman thief.
