The Ultra is better for certain apps...just liket he VooDoo 3 is better than a GeForce 3 in Diablo II.

-been around longer
-has yet to disappoint him
-perhaps knows someone who had a bad Geforce3Ti200 card

This GF2Ultra is clocked a bit higher than the Ti200, but the overall performance, under 3Dmark, Quake3, etc will show that the Ti200 beats it. Try playing a pure DX8 game, like Flashpoint, or Max Payne -- that'll show him how much his GF2 Ultra card is hurting.

Uh...it can process more pixels. IIRC, it has a significantly higher fill rate than the GF3. The 3's advantage is more efficient memory bandwidth. It can actually *use* it's fill rate.

He says its 'faster' not just in clock speed and the like, but itll produce more FPS in games and such. Problem lying in he DOSNET EVEN HAVE ONE so I cant beat the living hell out of it! Anyone have a real long technical-sounding explanation as to why the Ti200 is better, or a benchmark that has both?

That is personal preference. Pretending that a GF2 ultra is faster than GF3 ti 200 is just plain wrong. There is no "preference or opinion" to it. It' slike if I say that a stock cavalier is faster in the 1/4 than a stock viper. I'm simply wrong.

BDawg, I do check the main site regularly, and I have shown him each of those articles, and he claims since none have a Ultra and a Ti200 going face-to-face, that they are null and void.

And Klee58, Yes I do belive he is a wuss.

Anyone else have any other ideas?
