Hello guys, just a quick question.
is it safe to use 1.4v for a 24/7 overclock?? 4.8ghz

my sytem you can see in, my sig.

these are my settings

bclk 120
mp x40
llc at high
cpu current capability 130%
cpu power phase control extreme
vcc sa llc regular
vccsa current capability 120%
ram at 1600mhz

voltage

vcore 1.395
vtt cpu vcore 1.1250
cpu pll voltage 1.850

rest is set to auto

does it look oke?????

while playing ghost/bf4 the temps stay around 62/65 degrees for the highest core.
when I use maxon 4d and render its about the same.

If I give a bit more vtt cpu vcore can I lower the cpu vcore then??

this is my system

CPU - i7 3820 4.8ghz
MOBO - asus rampage iv formula
VIDEOCARD - sapphire r9 280x toxic
MEMORY - 16gb corsair vengeance 1600mhz
CPU COOLER - corsair h75
PSU - Be-quit darkpower pro 10/1000watt
SSD - Scandisk ultra plus 128gb
Hdd 1- Seagate 1tb
Hdd 2 - Seagate 1tb.
CASE - cooler master haf X

Are you using the 125 blck divider ?

What he means is normal blck OC is limited to around 110 max , but there are dividers added so it doesn't OC things like HD and PCI-E slot (just CPU and mem) .
Maybe your MB have many preset dividers for blck, I don't know X79 that well .

BTW what was the vocre at stock clocks in linx/prime95 , those vocre are very high for so low OC 4.0ghz also for that OC you don't need high LLC .

yes all the info is in the post, so yes I use 125 bclk, it has no effect on the other parts then just on the mem and cpu.
And no high llc needed for such low overclock?? yes I don't need 1.4v for 4.0ghz, but I,m running on 4.8ghz

120x40
the bclk overclock is no problem, normaly run at 125x36 so 4.5ghz, just want to now if the vcore is safe for a 24/7 overclock

1.4v is probably safe for Sandy chips like that provided you can keep the cores cool

yes keep the cores cool is not the problem atleast not with that vcore, any higher I can not stress it to test stability.

before any 1 reacts yes I run prime longer then you can see here, did also a few runs itb and linx.

would there be a great performance difference in running at 4.5/4.6 to 4.8ghz
in games not but in rendering??

Ah , sorry thought you only had 4.0ghz oC, yes for 4.5+ you'll need high or even very high LLC .
My bad , temps are good for voltage
