Please Identify SAS Controller

Hi friends, i am new to this forum.

I need information (Make, Model, Interface etc) about the SAS controller. Home someone can help me.

It's from a HCL brand server. It have some problem. It will hang as soon as getting detecting HW prompt from the SAS controller BIOS. We are suspecting the SAS controller.

We try to put the SAS controller on a PCI Express X16 slot. But the Core i3 board failed to detect it.

Unless something's changed recently, all of the HP's I've ever sold have Smart Array controllers which have HP labels all over them.

Thanks friend, you are correct. Can you share some technical info like interface. If you can please post Datasheet for the product. I can't find datasheet for this product.

Yes, PCI-E is downward compatible. in other words, a smaller connector will work in a bigger slot...but not the other way around. This is also dependent on the motherboard you're installing it in.

That is basically a PERC5e also if you are looking for more information about cooling and the like. The only difference for yours is that it has internal and external connectors, while the PERC5e is 2 external.

I put the card in PCI ex 16x slot. But I doesn't detect.

If i put my card sata card in the secondary slots it won't show the boot menu for it.
