Could someone please tell me what my ram speed is? I thought it was 1066 but searching the net seems to indicate that it is only 800 although I did find a post from someone with the exact same ram who also thinks it is 1066. I can only find MR18R1628MN1-CK8 on the net.

It is labelled as OCZ. Part# MR18R1628MN1 V10-6L

Thanks,

I couldn't find it either. Since it's made by OCZ, you should ask in the Official OCZ support thread in teh cpu/proccessors section. There are some OCZ employees that respond in that thread, and they should be able to find you an answer.

hey, its a samsung module that was built for ocz (most likely); an example = Samsung building phones for sprint and verizon.

Here?s the info on the module Samsung utilized to build that piece

http://www.samsung.com/Products/Semicon...lRIMM/MR18R1628MN1/MR18R1628MN1.htm#st

and as stevty stated, contact OCZ for an explanation on the ?V10-6L? part

take a look at this:

http://www.samsung.com/Products/Semicon...upport/Label_CodeInfo/RDRAM_Module.pdf

you can use that to identify the module and the last 5 digits are used to identify the modules notes, power, row access times and special handles applied to the module.

If the module was advertised as 1066 it probably is. I doubt ocz would mis represent information to make a sale. Most likely Samsung utilizes the 800 modules and got it to run at 1066 for ocz or they used the 800 model as a basis to achieve 1066.

Only ocz can answer what the V10-6L means? hey lets us know what you discover from them.

Thanks, I saw the first link and it is why I started thinking it was pc800. It does say 1066 on the ram but I just wanted to make sure after seeing that page before I bought more. According to the pdf link, my ram should be ECC (#3-4 are 18) but it says non-ECC during bootup. More confusion. Is there a program that can tell what kind of ram is installed?
