Please... I need your help

Alrighty guys... any and ALL suggestions will be appreciated... here goes...

I have :

800 Duron
256 PC133 ram
10 gb 7200 HD
Geforce3
Fresh install of 98
DX 8
and latest drivers from Nvidia

I'm only getting only 98 fps in normal mode?? All the reviews say I should see 140+??

Any ideas?

Sorry about that...in q3a demo with timedemo = 1 and demomap = first demo on list

Hmmm. 98fps in a game that is SO NEW it doesn't even have a name...sounds fast enough to me.

ok, a few things...
what resolution is normal mode? the lower the resolution (and with a gf3 i mean 1024x768 and lower) the more cpu dependant it is. those reviews with 140+ fps are probably with a 1200mhz+ t-bird.

what motherboard?

also, it makes a big difference what game options are turned on/off and also whether you have sound enabled for the timedemo.

I have a 1gig T-Bird with a Geforce 2 GTS 64mb,256mb PC133 CAS2 and am only getting 72FPS with everything cranked at 1024x768. Hmmm I don't think my system is pumpin out like it should. I got the lastest drivers.
