Please I need these drivers!

I have a crappy ECS P6SEP-ME Celeron motherboard. Im using to build a computer for someone. I wouldnt have bought it but it was used and cheap under a very tight budget. Thing is it didnt have the driver CD. It has onboard audio and video. I got the video drivers no prob and they work but the sound drivers listed on the web page do not work. This company seems to have 2 diff web pages. On one (http://www.ecs.com.tw/home.html) the drivers can be downloaded but the audio drivers listed do not even correspond to the audio chip I have on my MB. The chip on my MB is the CMI8338A chip. I tried the CMI8738A and they dont work in Win98. Win98 refuses to use them.

On the other (http://www.ecs.com.tw/ecs/ecs/p6sep-me/p6sep-me-d.htm) it lists the drivers that I need but the links are dead. I need the CMI8338a audio drivers.

Please someone help me. If anyone has the drivers please post a working link or mail me.

Hehe, yeah it figures they went under. ECS should go under as well for their lack of support.

There is a HT8338A/PCI sound driver on this page. Hope it works for ya.

edit- There was a guy looking for the CMI8338a audio driver on www.driverguide.com and somebody said the driver was available on the link I gave you so it should work but no guarantees.

I also went to www.matsonic.com's download section and they have this file for the CMI 8338 PCI Audio ftp://211.21.23.205/download/38w9x184.exe and this file for the CMI 8338 Sound Pro Audio ftp://211.21.23.205/download/30w98v64.exe

Again thank you very much, the drivers from sybercom worked with no probs at all. The sound actually is pretty decent when I tried out some MP3's on my Altec Lansing 45.2's.
