Please, i need some help!

Hi friends!! i'm a new guy in this forum. I'm from Spain, so you must forgive me because of my bad English!! 😀

We have a little problem. He has recently bought a new computer, an Intel Core 2 Duo 6600, a MotherBoard eVGA 680i, and a Team Xtreem with 4-4-4-10 timmings. I don't remember the exact model of the RAM, but they have cost around 300?.

Well, the issue is that as he installed the computer, the timmings go up to 5-5-5-18 instead the 4-4-4-10 as supposed. Why could that be happening?

Are you setting them manually or letting the motherboard do it by itself?

The motherboard does it, but if he sets the timmings manually then Windows crashes :S

Try setting the timings to 4-4-4-12 and the memory voltage to 2.1v if it's not already at that (vDIMM overvoltage + 0.3v I think).

By the way, your English is a lot better than my Spanish 😉.

Well, my friend did it. He doesn't know what te hell he have done, but the timmings seem to be correct now. What he did? Well, after installing Windows, he put the timmings manually in BIOS, and it seems to be ok right now.

So we are very glad for your help.

P.S2 Can someone explain to me what is the meaning of "Mobo"? Is Motherboard?
