Recently my computer has been restarting on its own - there is no shutdown screen, it simply goes black and starts to boot back up. Is this a power supply problem???

Wow, congrats on your first post! I've had this problem before and to my knowledge it sounds as though you computer is overheating. If it reaches a certain temperature, your computer initially reacts to it and shuts down to prevent hardware damage. Most computers run at 40 to 55 degrees. You may have your shutoff temperature at 60 or 65 and if it's reaching it there is a problem. Try restarting your computer and enter your BIOS, then check PC Health Status to see what temp you're running at and if it's on the rise. If it seems normal, let your computer run for a while, then check it. I'll keep an eye out on your post and get back with you.
