i have windows me and somehow now when i log on to my internet connection i do not get the double monitors showing that i am online.
would like to know how to fix. thank you
 
did you have the "double monitors" thing before?

if so, i would reinstall the windows component for dialup networking, etc
check that something you installed didn't override those settings..
i know when i installed Sygate, it got rid of the flashing monitors and had its own status icon in the tray

if not, install it 😀
