You're lucky i decided to go on through AT once before bed.

What kind of laptop are you using? Only cd-rom or floppy at once? If you can use both, go to your comp and create a startup disk. Start up into dos, then insert the 98cd and setup.

Ouch. I'm sleepy and didnt notice only one bay at a time. Make sure you have 98se. um.... *yawn* Sleepy, can't think. *yawn* If you're really desperate, I'd just start up with a floppy, then swap the bays while the comp is on. I'm not that familiar with laptops. I've only worked with the all-in-one designs. Do you have an external HD? hook it up to your pc, install win98, then swap it to the laptop to boot off of. Or, if you ahve one of those little usb HD's. Boot off of that thing and setup from dos. All I can think of now.
