I can't seem to figure this out but here I go. My computer will just RESTART for no reason. It doesn't seem to matter what program or game I am in. I also lock up frequently. The mouse pointer will also act funny from time to time like it is locking intermittently. I have changed video cards, changed the mouse, removed sound card, installed all new drivers, reformatted and reinstalled Win 98. Any one got any ideas at all.

Hi,

I suspected your RAM problem. Please try to swap your RAM with the working one.

Thanks.

i know what the problems is..... you don't have a video card!

seriously, drop the rig down to just the video card, 1 stick of ram, 1 hd, no cdrom, and thats it... if she still reboots, swap a different stick of ram in... if she still reboots go into the bios and set it to "safe defaults" or whatever its called.
