I have a Piii socket 370 733 mhz chip on an intel 815 board w/ 256 of p100 ram,

have tested all components and don't want to load win 2k again. What could cause it to halt on the start up screen? It halts on a regular boot up and when you try to put it into safe mode also. I have had this problem once before and reloaded the comp. It then happened again.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hard Freeze? . . . those are usually hardware related. . . did you switch ou the components with one of your multiple working PIII's?

Memory too. . . What did Memtest say?

yuck these are the worst types of problems to troubleshoot!
