Please help.

I have a .AVI file and a .Sub file.(The video is foreign so the .sub file is supposed to play English subs.)

There were no instructions. What's the best way/only way that I can play the video with the subtitles.

Please help.

I think directvobsub should be able to do it. keep the movie and .sub in the same folder and same filename (except for the extension of course)

Some weird anime show my freind gave me.

It's not working. I installed the directvobsub .dll that you linked, HN.
But, when I play the file in mpc it doesn't play the subs. With directvobsub installed it was supposed to automacticlly play subs in mpc, right? Am I missing something?

Open MPC, go to View -> Option -> Playback -> Output -> DirectShow Video and select "VMR7 (renderless)" or "VMR9 (renderless)". Close MPC and relaunch.

If the sub doesn't load automatically, you can manually load it in MPC from File -> Load Subtitle (just be sure to do the above step first)
