Hi, I'm currently at UCSD (University of Califronia, San Diego) and our connection is horrible... I am connected through a "Zenith HOMEWorks Universal box" (a black box - supposedly a cable modem box).

I am only getting about 200 Kbit/sec download and 40 KBit/sec upload.. and that's on good days.. can anyone help speed this up? or give me more information on this box?
 
I guess you have 5,000 neighborhood students who are on the same cable line🙂

seriously if that's the case, there is nothing you can do.
 
Stupid Napster... i can't wait till it goes down!! (and hope that no one knows how to use napigator!!) 🙂
