i am DESPERATE for a solution, i dont knwo where else to go, been to bp6.com , 2cpu.com, our own hardware.
im trying to install Win2k TONIGHT!!
I don't know what the heck is going on with this.
I have both a FT100 and FT66 controller card with a pair of 30gb 100 IBM drives and 40gb 66 Maxtor drives.
with those drives and cards, my entire configuration is this

20GB IBM 66
I disabled my serial ports so that I can get those free IRQ's. also, I was trying to do a CLEAN install of my OS, with my 20gb on the HPT366 controller.
even though I had problems installing on the 20gb on the onboard controller, that is not the focus of this post.
with both FT cards in, I am able to detect just the FT100 during bootup. when I pullout the FT66 thinking there might be some problem with both cards, and with the IBMs in the FT100, it will freeze my computer when detecting the array. I switched slots from 3-5 between the FT100 and my SB LIVE, but no go. with the drives plugged into my card, they will halt the system. with the drives out of the card however, the card will boot fine.
when I had both the FT100 and FT66 in the board, I was able to detect my 100 drives and still boot, but i only did this while trying to install. no hard drives were detected so i couldnt install to them.
if you guys have any knowledge of what the problem is, please enlighten me.
i wanted to install the OS on my 20gb on the onboard controller, and have both FTs in my computer. i tried installing Win2k Server AND Advanced server, but it wouldnt detect any hard drives in my onboard controller. actually NO OS did, and it didnt even detect the controller, not even after i installed and put on the drivers.
