please help with powerline adapters

So I got two Zyxel 401v4 adapters and two Zyxel 407 adapters. I don't know how I did it but before, I got 3 adapters to work together. Now, I can only get 2 adapters to work together. I actually want to get all 4 adapters to work. I tested and all the adapters work. I've followed the user's guide to add another adapter. thanks for the help

Are you plugging them into the same 3 sockets that you did the old adapters? Can you pair *any* two of the three, or is one specifically not connecting?

If they're not seeing each other and they all otherwise work, odds are it's a signal strength issue or an electrical wiring issue in the house. Powerline reliability is very dependent on the quality and configuration of the house wiring.

Other than that, are you sure the 401 and the 407 are compatible devices?

Did you sync them together with the security sync button as described in their manual?
I use four of their adapters.

Try with them on the same circuit in the same room. Don't forget if nothing is connected to the LAN port, they go to sleep.
