Hi,

I'm looking to pull the trigger on a i5 3570K OC to 4.40GHz gaming system with a 7950 graphics card. I'll mainly be using it for FPS gaming and watching a few movies.

My current understanding is 120hz is really a mandatory requirement as the system will likely go above 60 frames per second. I'm also under the impression an IPS panel is not so good with it's slower response times.

That's about the extent of my understanding of monitors so I was hoping for some advice Of course I could be completely wrong so feel free to correct me!

A 24" is probably the best option as I'm only really looking to spend £150 - £200.

Thanks

Hi,

I've done a bit of research and read good things about the following:

BenQ XL2420T
SAMSUNG S23A750D
Samsung S24B750VS
Dell U2312HM
Dell U2412M

I suspect they'll be 33% FPS gaming, 33 browsing and 33% movies. So I'm not sure if I need 60 or 120hz, or an IPS or TN panel?

I've also read the XL2420T isn't so good for extended non-gaming with the backlight hue not the most kind on the eye?

For £150 I'm not sure the U2312HM can be beat.

Thanks
