1.) I downloaded the latest driver for my pny gf3 ti 200 from www.pny.com (9-10-01) and I installed it. Then just for fun I told my win 98 to update driver and search in the c drive and it said the best driver was found in C:\windows\inf\nvaml.inf and If i want to install it? Is this driver really better than the latest one from pny? Of is it just because my current driver came out AFTER win98 was released and win 98 doesnt reconize it?

2.) I downloaded the current driver fpr my audigy xgamer from creative.com and installed it. Again I told win 98 to update driver and it said the best driver was already installed but it said it was in c:\windows\inf\emu10kx.inf ? This is not where I downloaded and save the creative driver that I just installed? Any ideas? Im sure theres a simple answer but this is buggging me.

Thanks for any help

That's where the driver file gets copied to after you install it. Don't let windows do that driver update thing. I think it normally picks the drivers that are microsoft certified. Just install the creative driver and preferably the nvidia reference driver and don't worry about what the OS tells you. The drivers that it says are best might be old ones that the OS thinks are better for some reason.
