Please help with my A7N8X issues

Here are my specs:

Asus A7N8X non-deluxe V1.04
1002A Bios
Successful Vdd mod, set to 1.85V
5V mod
Two 256MB sticks Corsair PC3200C2
1700+ JIUHB 0251
SLK-800
Enermax 365VE

I'm running at 188 x 12.5, 2.35gHz

Here are my problems:

FSB's over mid 170's cause an inablility to cold boot.

FSB over 188 causes instablility in stress tests.

FSB over 193 results in no boot.

Note that these issues occur regardless of multiplier and/or ram settings, or even if I go back down to one module in any slot.

I know Asus doesn't guarantee these boards to work up around 200FSB, but it seems that I've got a bit of a dud compared to a lot of other people. The cold booting is really pissing me off.

The only thing I can think to do is cut some bridges on my 1700+ to get higher multipliers, but I don't really want to lose the nice benefits of high FSB's.

Thanks in advance for any help.

3.3V @ 3.42V +3.6%

5.0V @ 4.87V -2.6%

12V @ 11.98V -0.2%

Those should really be in spec, but the lower 5.0V line does concern me a bit.

Your 5v reading is fine, assuming your bios is accurate ,to be sure you really need to get a multimeter to check them.

How did you get you mbrd to boot with RAM at less than 100%? ,even with my FSB at 133MHz it still wont boot with RAM at 83%

I assume you've tried those FSBs with the cpu multiplier low to eliminate that possibilty?

i just changed it and badda bing badda boom
...was it not supposed to happen like that or something lol??

(what i do is save changes, THEN exit and save...i dunno if it makes a diff lol)

if you have cpu at 133, ram is at like 110 (if 83%) and that SHOULD work....
what about the other percentages?

btw, im on bios 1002.A

Like I said 83% doesn't work:confused: ,but I haven't tried the others yet ,maybe they will?

I never had any problems just saving & exiting................yet!
