OK. Somehow the horizontal ruler disappeared. You know, the thing where you can drag around to format the indent. Please help me turn it on again.

Yep. It's pure dumbness from MS. One of the first things I do with a fresh install is set the menus to expand. I wonder about their logic in the first place. ....they have to fix something that ain't broke.
