Please help with ipod conversion

I just got a 10 gig first generation ipod for the mac and don't know how to change it to work with musicmatch and my pc. Do I need to reformat the hdd? I appreciate any help at alll
 
Yes, you will need to reformat the hdd. The mac versions are formatted in UFS and the Windows are in FAT32 i believe. ipodlounge.com should have details as to how to convert it. Also, if you dont like musicmatch, i think they have additional software or show you how to use windows media player as well as others.
