Please help with Earthlink/Sprint and Linksys DSL Router

This is my first post on this forum. I heard this was the place to go for help. I just hooked up with Sprint Fast Connect DSL service today. I can connect no problem by plugging the DSL modem into my servers NIC (which I am doing now). I have configured the Router (BEFSR11). I can ping the router, but when the modem is plugged into the router, I can't access the internet at all. How do I tell my connection to go through the router to find the DSL modem. Please help before I pull the little hair I have left out of my head. Thanks. Oh ya, I did do a search before I posted and none of the returns answered my question.

I got the router to work perfectly. I guess I went to the forum for help about 20 minutes too early.

setup your router with PPPoE, save your user name as "user-ID@yourdomain" and password in router.

Are you sure you got the right cat5/crossover connections from modem-router-pc. Some modems use straight cable instead of crossovers.
