i have the tyan tiger 133 dual p3 motherboard with (2) 700MHz SLOT 1 P3s and the primary CPU is around 75C. i have somewhat standard dual fans on each processor, but the way the board is laid out, the primary processor's heatsink touches the back of the secondary so no air can blow onto the cpu (so i think). what kind of heatsink fan (links please!) could i use, price (to a certain degree) really doesnt matter because the system needs to be cooled one way or another. here is a link to the motherboard i have, the space between the processors looks just under 3 inches. would a fan ontop the heatsink be better? i cant see the best way to do it. all help is appreciated

Hi siroutbak,
i have had your problem too; i solved it mounting a big fan taken from an old power supply on the side of the case (a big tower) with this solution you put fresh air over the cpus.

This solution is used even from intel to cool the xeon processors.

The only problem is to the hole in the steel of the side of the case... but it seems bigger than it really is, belive in me!!!

Bye
