I am looking to buy/make a device which could would give out a signal, and that signal received by the computer and different data be received from that singal. I know this is really vague but my idea is pretty vague too, I am not sure what direction I should take. should I bee looking into a wireless (network) device, a radio transmitter, or a remote control style device? Well, I guess the bottom line is I would like to be able to have a device that just transmits a distinct signal which will then be interpreted by a receiving station? Anyone have any idea what I am talking about? I sure as hell dont.
