Please help with 1.4GHz Tualatin Celeron.

Hello. I just bought a 1.4GHz Tualatin Celeron and proceeded to do the vid mod (vid1 and vid2) which worked on my 1.2GHz Tualatin Celeron but it's not working on my new 1.4GHz chip.

Is there a different method to vid modding the 1.4GHz chip or is it the same?

It should be the same for all Tualatins... i've done it on several Celerons... and my P3-S... works ok... try re-wrapping it.

If it's not letting you OC the chip, the 1.4's are pretty hard to get a decent overclock out of.

It's not a bad chip. I've managed to get it to 1.736GHz so far.

Sorry. When I did the vid1/vid2 mod it didn't work like it did on my 1.2GHz Tualatin Celeron. I tried the Vid1/vid0/vss and that didn't work, either. I then proceeded to break off the vid1 pin and I was advised because of the broken vid1 pin to wrap vid0 to vss. Is this correct?
