Please help Win2k refresh

Hi.. I'm a newb to win2k I installed for the stability..

Anyway.. when I launch Quake 3 in win2k (I have tried multiple versions of quake and multiple nvidia drivers on my gf2 gts) my refresh rate automatically drops to the lowest headache-causing setting

is there some setting in quake or win2k to adjust the refresh in 3dapps?? i cant figure this out please offer suggestions

What refresh rate are you getting in windows?
There is an nvidia refresh rate fix for geforce and geforce 2 based cards, that fixes the automatic refresh rate of 60 Hz in win2k, but that should only work if you are always getting the low refresh rates, if it is just quake 3 then that is strange. However, it is definitely worth a try just go to www.tweakfiles.com and look for nvidia refresh fix.
