Hi,

Diskeeper 10 told me that my MFT (Master File Table) is 97% used. And recommended me to set it higher. Current is at 39MB and recommend to set it at 52MB.

Should i set it? or should i make the MFT smaller? but how?

In Windows Defragmenter didn't say this at all? Does it mean Windows Defragmenter care less than Diskeeper 10?

I also heard that Windows Defragmenter was Diskeeper, but it was like a very old version, is it true?

Some time ago, Microsoft licensed Diskeeper's technology for the Windows defragmenter tool. I don't know if the utility has been updated, but it's essentially Diskeeper Lite.

This clip illustrates the relationship between the elements referenced by calvinhobbes above. This is a freshly optimized drive using PerfectDisk 8 (IMHO far better than Diskeeper heavy or light).

MFT
