Please Help! --- Weird Samsung P2470HD Monitor Brightness Problem

I've had this monitor for about a year and a couple of months ago it started to have this weird brightness problem.

The monitor has 4 picture modes (text/internet/entertainment/custom) with different contrast/brightness/etc setting. Regardless of what picture mode I choose, after 30 minutes, it will automatically turn into 'entertainment mode', which has max brightness/contrast.

I think the problem started a couple of months ago after I updated my MSI 560Ti driver. But I doubt this has to do with video card. Can anybody please help? Thanks!

Are you saying that the "mode" selected inside the monitor controls changes all by itself, which then changes the brightness along with it?

Or are you saying that the brightness changes by itself, and the brightness doesn't affect the settings in the monitor controls/panel, but it's as bright as full brightness?

The former. The mode selection changes by itself to 'entertainment mode', which has max brightness/contrast/etc. Also, if I select a non-entertainment mode, power off the monitor and then power it back on, the mode selection will also go back to 'entertainment'. Thanks.
