Please Help w/ Canon S500

I recently bought a Canon Powershot S500. I have pictures on it that I want to download. WinXP recognizes that I've got the camera connected but it says that "The file 'usbscan.sys' on Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 CD is needed." I don't have the SP2 CD, I updated to SP2 from microsoft.com. I only have the WinXP CD (the file is not on this CD). I have installed the camera software supplied by Canon.

Can somebody please help me? I think I'm having the same problem with my usb printer.

Buy a CF card reader. /thread.

OK - get another one - the only run around $20 or so. Connecting the camera to the computer is slow and prone to errors.

However, if you must have it - download the file per this:
