Greetings,

I try to install Win2k pro into a new hd to no avail. After my machine boot from the win2k cd, loading all the necessary files, the message on the bottom of the screen shows "setup is starting win 2k" then I received a message "STOP: 0x0000007B (0x818194F0, 0x0000102, 0x000000000, 0x000000000) inaccessible boot device ". Does anyone have an idea what I am missing here?

Thanks in advance for your time and help.

if you are using the ata100 channels, even if you arent using ata100 drives, you still have to load drivers for them. Its easiest to hook the drive up to the standard ide channels and install then install the drivers and switch the harddrives or download the drivers and install them when you setting up windows the first time.

Suppafly: you're correct. I have to hit F6 when the first boot up screen appears. Then later on insert the Highpoint driver when asked (I thought that it wasn't necessary since I have disable everything related to ATA100Raid device). After that everything went smoothly.

Thank you for everyone reply and help.
