Hello all. I am researching parts for a gaming machine. I need some help in deciding on a 680i MB. I have picked these 2 so far:

1. EVGA 122-CK-NF68-A1
2. ASUS Striker Extreme

I will be adding three used raptors, used audigy 2 sound card, used USB TV Tuner card, and 2 new nvidia video cards as yet to be determined.

Please tell me which ones you would buy and why. Thanks for any input.

Would you consider dropping the SLI ?

I started a war on another post about SLI. But if you can tell me why I should drop it, all options are open for me. Thank you.

I have significant experience with both the eVGA and the Asus. I personally own the EVGA, but the company I work for (www.jncs.com) uses the Striker in our gaming systems. I haven't had any issues with the EVGA, and therefore highly recommend it; however, the Striker comes with a significant number of 'goodies' and 'extras' that evga doesn't include.

As for performance, I think they are both going to yield similar results.

Also, I don't recommend dropping SLI. The reason being that the 8800GT graphics card will be stabilizing in price soon (around $200) and you can buy two of them for $400 and have a KICKASS setup.
