Hmm, every time I go to restart my PC it posts and everything, then gets to the WinXp loading screen for about 1 second, then goes to a blue screen that says (UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME) and then a bunch of stuff about restarting or going into safe mode. At the bottom there is technical info: something like 0x00000ed (0x00000, 0x00000df, 0x00000) If these numbers are important i will write them down next time. I'm just wondering what is causing the problem, so i can replace whatever it is and get back to failing school... Thanks

It's saying the C: drive contents are messed up somehow. If you used Fat32 instead of NTFS to create C: you can try using a DOS boot disk to see if you can see files on C: (with the DOS command DIR C: ). Otherwise you can try your XP rescue diskettes or bootable CD and try to repair XP.

You might try asking something like "XP won't boot!" in software or OS forums, read the FAQs, or even visit microsoft.com.

Or use the PC you're typing on now 🙂
