Greetings
I need help in understanding why my system hangs during windows boot session. I turn on my computer everything is speedy up until the point where the bars start to scroll. They begin to scroll, then there is a 10-15 sec pause were there is no HD activity. After that the HD activity resumes then it loads windows quickly.I was given a suggestion to disable IDE channels that are not used in device manager. This seems to work yet thee problem now is that when i disable the SECONDARY or STANDARD DUAL CHANNEL IDE CONTROLLER i lose my cdrom. How do I disable it and still retain the functionality of my cdrom.
Any help woud be apreciated, thanks
System specs:
AMD 3700+
1 GB CORSAIR XMS
250GB SATA WD
9700 ATI RADEON
Plextor 716a IDE
Thank you again
