Please Help recycle bin???

Hi All And Hppy belated New Year!
My problem is taht I accidently deleted a folder istead of remaning it and when i open the recycle bin, it shows no lifles at all an no option to restore. But if i right click on the icom from the desktop and click empty, it ask if i want to delete 29 files. I am running WinMe, have been for 2 months without any problems at all.
Help from all you gurus in these forums would be greatly appreciated,
because these files are important for my work.

open up the recycle bin and click on view options, click on the view tab and make sure show all files is checked.
