Hello All....

I just finished updating my brothers computer and I'm only here for another couple of hours, so I need some help quick. I know you guys/girls will come through.

The system is running great, but with only one flaw. The desktop will not fit the monitor at 800x600 no matter what I try (I can fix it by using a 100Hz refresh, but then this monitor blurs out).

I know that some video drivers supply a way to virtually stretch the desktop when the monitor does not support it. However, I can't seem to find a utility for that in this driver release.

Here is some system info...

AMD 1 GHz T-Bird (built in Andara Barebones)
Win98 SE
Creative Labs GeForce SDR (I tried the Creative Utility, but It doesn't recognize the Nvidia drivers, and the last Creative release was last October)
ProView 770 17" monitor (latest driver from proview site)

So what gives? Please help, the clock is ticking.

that virtual stretching thing...it was disabled by MS in all versions of windows past win95.

If you have a matrox card...the powerdesk still has some presets built in, and u can use that to bypass MS. Otherwise, you're SOL ;)

Besides...if the monitor doesnt support more than 800x600...it's time for a NEW one...17" doesnt cost that much...100-150 or so will get u a good one. 200-250 for a good 19" (samsung 950P)
