Please Help; Promise 133/ XP Boot Dilemma

Promise 133tx2 pci controller




XP pro installed via motherboard ide (ata33)
promise xp driver installed

bios set to boot off scsi


flashed MB bios from 1004 to 1006(current)

swapped ide66 cable to 133tx2 controller.

booted fine once.

no longer boots. hangs at splash screen

safe mode boots.

bios sees promise and fdisk sees hd on promise.

attemp to do fresh install on promise HD stop with message "no disks detected" (driver was loaded as part of install
