Please Help - problems with Leadtek tv 2000XP deluxe

I have actually have two problems. I was wondering if you guys could answer at least one of them. First of all I have a WinXP Home with DirectX9.0b. I installed the driver and PVR software right from the Leadtek site. My first problem is that my timeshifting doesn't work - I push the timeshifting button and push play and then the PVR software freezes up on me. Second when I record a show using Divx 5.05 and mp3 codec - the sound become sort of out of sync with the video. Thanks for reading and please respond!

I've bought (and resold) about 3 of these cards. Last time I got one was...about 4 months ago (maybe more) and at the time, it didn't work with dx9 very well. I wrote leadtek and they told me to just use 8.1 and wait for them to release dx9 compatible drivers.

I don't know if the new drivers have been released but just thought I'd mention it. Check out newegg's reader reviews/opinions to see if you can dig up an article. Also, go to the Hot Deals forums here at anandtech and dig up the VARIOUS threads about the card. There have been lots of discussions surrounding the card in those threads that could provide some additional insight on known hardware conflicts or driver issues etc.

One last thing, iirc, divx encoding on the card was a little cpu intensive. I don't know what your system specs are, but that _might_ be a possible issue. That's the first thing that came to mind when I saw your thread anyway.

Good luck and free bumpidy bump 🙂
