Hi, I have a creative modem blaster 56k external that I am having some serious problems with. It is connected via serial port to the comp but I keep getting a ras 619 error everytime it tries to connect. The connected led on the front panel of it comes on for a second and then it goes right back off right before it gives the error message. I know that this means that the "port was disconnected" but what does that really mean. I have tried this modem in both win98se and win2k and it gives me the exact same error. I am trying to use netzero and juno because I am a poor college kid that just needs to check email and such. The strange thing about it is that it will connect to an isp that my friend has which is at&t but it is not a local number from my house and it cost $15 a month so that is out of the question. Just please help me out with any suggestions that you my have. P.S. I have the latest version of the drivers from the creative website, the serial ports are turned on in the bios, and the serial cable has checked out okay. I am posting this from a 56k pci winmodem that works in the same comp that the external will not. The device manager says that the device is working properly. Don't know this one has got me stumped. Thanks and take care
