Please help pray for my pet bunny's dear life - she's in major trouble :(

We have a 2yr old white dwarf rabbit. Her name's Lulu. Very playful little gal. Had a broken arm when she was 1yr old.

Today my sister took her outside for a bath, then left her outside to play for a few hours. When she brought her back in, she noticed that Lulu was lacking strength to move. Later in the evening we noticed she was breathing very heavily. She had oxygen cut off a few times, luckily my pop patted her and helped with her breathing.

Tonight at midnight we brought her into the emergency vet where she's put on oxygen. The vet said she may have contracted some kind of bateria, her temperature is only 35*c. The vet also said her x-rayed pic of her lung has some sort of fluid in it.

I've seen her stiffen up a few times due to lack of oxygen. Her hands and legs were stretched out, her eyes bulging, and her entire body shaking. It was not a pretty sight.

Hopefully things will turn out for the better tomorrow and thereafter. We love her dearly. Hang in there Lulu.

She's the most adorable little creature we've ever met, so kind and playful. Always licking our fingers and toes, and loves it when we pet her and give her a back massage.

Please lend a hand and pray for her if you can. Thankyou.

Thx for your thoughts fellas. But unfortunately she didn't make it. Took her in at midnight, and got the dreaded call in the morning that she passed away at 7 in the morning :(

I'm sure she past away with minimal pain, at the very least she did not exhibit the same nerve wrecking seizure where her arms and legs were all extended, her eyes bulging, and entire body shaking. That was really painful to see first hand. She died in a comforting position. That alone was worth the $450 overnight emergency fee.

We took her body back this afternoon and had her buried at our back yard, right beside our gold fishes. Put her in a nice wood box.

My sister is totally devasted. She cried a lot. All this happened so fast and so sudden. I cried on a few occasions as well. The bonding between us and the family is so strong that we think of her as one of the family.

Again, thankyou all for your concern.

Regards,
Plucky

Plucky, I am very sorry for your loss. It sounds like she was a really cute and gentle gal.

I am so sorry to hear that. I love my pets dearly and dread that day myself... :(
Me too. Whenever I read about someone?s pet dying on AT, or if it happens to one of my friends, I always get teary-eyed thinking about how I would feel if it happened to me. The bond that we attach with our pets is very amazing, and can be very strong. :(:(

Sorry for the loss.

Many people say the reason pets go before we do is so that they will not suffer when we die, there is a special bond between Man and an animal that he takes as a member of the family.

My prayers are with you.

I'm sorry for your loss... Most of us have had pets that have passed on - and I can feel the pain that you are in now...

mmm...wabbit meat....

Looks like your mother did not teach you any manners. If you can't say something nice, then keep your mouth shut.

From the day we arrive on the planet
And blinking, step into the sun
There's more to see than can ever be seen
More to do than can ever be done
There's far too much to take in here
More to find than can ever be found
But the sun rolling high
Through the sapphire sky
Keeps great and small on the endless round

It's the Circle of Life
And it moves us all
Through despair and hope
Through faith and love
Till we find our place
On the path unwinding
In the Circle
The Circle of Life

It's the Circle of Life
And it moves us all
Through despair and hope
Through faith and love
Till we find our place
On the path unwinding
In the Circle
The Circle of Life
