Please help: PC Power&Cooling Silencer 275 in Fong-Kai 603 case

I replaced the Fong Kai's power supply with a Silencer 275 and, although the Asus CUSL2-C motherboard's standby LED lights up, the computer would not power up. I put the original Fong Kai power supply back in without changing any settings and my computer booted up normally. Is there any reason why I can't use the Silencer power supply in the Fong Kai case? Thanks,

Adam

You can test it easily enough. Just make sure that it is connected to and set for the correct AC voltage, plug in a case fan, and jumper the green wire near the center of the mobo plug to any black wire. If the fan won't run, it's dead. Using a voltmeter, you can perform additional tests, but you won't have proper voltage regulation on the 3.3v&5v without a load on them. You can find the pinouts over at The Tech Report.

Thanks, Jhhnn. The Silencer works fine in my InWin case, so I know it's fine. I have the number for a PC Power & Cooling technician and will call him tomorrow.
