my 2nd comp runnin win98 se gets this msg

I hit yes but it says to reboot. i hit n and it syas to reboot

please help? i dont wanna reinstall os then i have to reinstall all my prograqms? help?
 
Just reinstall the os on top of itself,you will not need to reinstall all your programs.


BTW this is a question that should have been posted in the OS forum.
 
theres gotta be some way to fix it besides reinstall. i can get into safemode just dont know what to do
