Hi!

I had win98, but just upgraded to 2000 pro. I need to use frontpage express with windows 2000, but it does not come with it as it does in win98.

Is there any way to use this program with windows 2000? and where could I get it... any ideas? This is important to my work. Frontpage 98 would not install for some reason... said it could not unpack the files needed to install or something to that effect.

Also in the win 2K browser I noticed it does not outline the links as they are clicked like win98 did... that was a very helpful feature for me when going through large lists of links... help here too?

Thanks in advance.

To expound, I think FrontPage Express is a part of the Internet Explorer suite, so you may have to repair/upgrade IE from the Add/Remove control panel to even see the option for FrontPage Express.

As far as underlining links, it's probably a setting somewhere that's not enabled by default.

Is there any reason you can't use FP2000 instead of 98? 2K is a bit mor stable, secure, and writes cleaner code...

Thanks for the replys...

I upgraded to Office 2000 premium, so the frontpage issue is taken care of. (it's much better then frontpage express for sure)

The other issue I mentioned, is that the links after you click them in win98, get a small dotted line around them, showing the "active" link. Is there any way to enable this in win2K? It's not an available setting in the internet properties advanced tab.

That was SO handy for going down a list of links so you can keep track of where you are on the list when you go back to it(I do that a lot as part of my job.)
